ABOUT ME
My name is Katharine Chantre and I am a senior at the University of Florida double-majoring in Biology and Anthropology. My undergrad experience has greatly impacted and shaped my global perspective. I have been very fortunate and have been presented with many opportunities along the way that have helped me learn a lot about myself, my passions, and goals. I am a proud Gator and Machen Florida Opportunity Scholar.
My global learning experience began at a very early age. I was born in Queens, NY but when I was one my family moved back to Cali, Colombia. A couple of years later, we moved to South Florida. I was exposed to many different cultures and languages throughout my childhood. I developed an interest in the world around me and wanted to learn about other cultures and look at the world from a different perspective.

Through my involvement with international organizations like MEDLIFE and Maximo Nivel as well as my study abroad experience with USAC, I have internationalized my Gator experience and gained numerous skills that have fueled my passion to become an international doctor.
